This Is Not Who We Are is a memoir about life's ups and downs, victories and defeats and searching for the meaning of everything. It's about dealing with existential angst while holding on to a sense of humor through all life's events. There are stories about ketamine, three-legged cats, broken hearts, and life since 2020.

David career has been as an elections adminstrator at the city, county, and state level. He was appointed to be the Director of Elections for the State of Minnesota in 2019.
